After four years as the Saint Mary’s Huskies’ starting punter and place-kicker, Palardy found out yesterday he has cracked the Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ season-opening Canadian Football League roster as a punter.

But the Huskies’ 7-1 rout in Game 1 of the best-of-five final series Sunday night was marred by a frightening scene late in the second period.

Huskies beat the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues 6-2 in the final game on Sunday to win the right to represent the Atlantic Region in the national championships in Antigonish in two weeks.
