In a rematch of last year's thrilling game five of the AUS men's hockey semi finals, the Saint Mary's Huskies hosted the Saint Francis Xavier X-Men tonight in front of nearly nine hundred fans at The Forum in downtown Halifax.
The Huskies gained a measure of revenge by virtue of a balanced scoring attack to defeat the nationally ranked X-Men 5-3.
Brad Smith, Chris Mackinnon, Colby Pridham, Michael D'orazio, and Joshua Domingues each had markers for Saint Mary's (2-3-0-0),.
Josh Day, Kevin Underchute, and Murdock MacLellan countered for the X-Men (2-3-0-0)
Both teams finished with twenty nine shots on goal. Huskies rookie goaltender Anthony Peters (Blyth, Ont.) earned his first victory of his AUS career while 4th year senior Joseph Perricone of San Juan Capistrano, CA took the loss for St FX.
