For the week of March 9, 2010
Andrew Hotham, Hockey
3rd year Barrie, Ontario
Hotham exploded for nine points in two games to help the Huskies close out their AUS semifinal series againstAcadia and take a 1-0 lead over StFX in the conference final. Andrew led all CIS rearguards in scoring this season with 39 points in 27 outings,and had a career high 4 goals and a pair of assists in a series-clinching 9-2 win over the Axemen. He added3 assists on Sunday as the Huskies opened the best-of-three AUS final with a 7-1 victory over the X-Men. |

Female Athlete of the Week

Kori Cheverie, Hockey
Kori Cheverie. She is a 5th year Honours Crim forward from New Glasgow NS. She was named to the AUS 1st All-Star team, Tournament All-Star team, and was named the AUS Tournament MVP.
She had 2 goals and 2 assists in game 1 victory over Dal (score was 8-6), 1 goal in our 5-3 win over SFX in the semi-final, and 1 goal and 3 assists in our 6-2 win over UDM. She was named player of the game in the Championship final. |

Garrett Ramey, Track & Field
Garrett (Bridgewater, NS) won the shot put with a throw of 14.33m and the weight throw 13.88m ( personal best). His win in the shot qualified him for the CIS Championships in Windsor, Ont. March 11-14. |

Female Athlete of the Week
For the week of February 23, 2010
Kerri Smit, Volleyball
Kerri was named the Alexander Keith’s Most Valuable Player of the tournament this past weekend as the Huskies captured the 2010 Subway AUS women’s volleyball championship hosted by SMU. Kerri led the Huskies to back-to-back straight set wins over the Acadia Axewomen and StFX X-Women as Saint Mary’s won their first AUS banner since the 2006-07 season. In SMU’s 3-0 championship game victory over the first place X-Women, she finished with a game-high 12 kills, 22 digs and 3 solo blocks. |

For the 2nd time in 3 weeks, Kori has been selected as the Female Athlete of the Week. She guided her huskies to two wins over the weekend and earned 2 goals in each game. She is currently 1st in team scoring and 4th in the league with 23 points. |

Munden's OT goal vs UdeM lifted Saint Mary's to a 3-2 victory and gave them a much needed win on the road. Justin also added a goal and an assist vs St. Thomas on Saturday in the huskies 5-2 win. |
