Saint Mary's University Athletics & Recreation Department is proud to announce that Greg Knight has been named to the role of Assistant Director of Athletics & Recreation.
Greg has served as Executive Director of Lacrosse Nova Scotia, the governing body of the sport of Lacrosse in NS, for the last seven years. As the Executive Director of Lacrosse Nova Scotia Greg was instrumental in leading Lacrosse NS over the better part of the past decade.
As the Assistant Director of Athletics & Recreation Greg will oversee Financial Administration, Office Administration, Facility Operations, Programming, Event Management, Risk Management and assisting to manage partnerships with both the AUS and USports.
"We are thrilled to welcome Greg to the Saint Mary's family. Greg is a proven leader and administrator at the Provincial Sport Organization level, and these skills will transfer over well to the university sport and recreation world and the Saint Mary's community." said Scott Gray, Director of Athletics & Recreation.
Greg received his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Acadia University in 2009. While completing his degree he served as Captain of the Football Team, was an Academic All-Canadian, and a nominee for the CIS (now USports) Russ Jackson Award. After his time at Acadia, Greg went on to complete a Graduate Certificate in Sport Business Management at Algonquin College in Ottawa, where he also worked for both the Canadian Lacrosse Association, and Athletics Canada.
