Huskies get two weekend wins, now 12 - 0 January 22 The volleyball huskies continued their dominance with two weekend road wins over StFX and CBU. On Saturday, the Huskies lost the first match, but came back with three straight to defeat the X-Women. Sunday vs the Capers, the Huskies took three in a row with scores of 25-18, 25-21 and 25-22 to finish the weekend with two wins and jumped to a 12-0 record to remain in first place. Volleybal action continues Sunday at The Tower when they host crosstown rivals, 2nd place Dalhousie at 2 p.m.

Two weekend wins for the Huskies at Home November 14 The Huskies defeated the X-Women 3 - 1 and the Acadia Axewomen 3 - 1 to bring their record to 5-0 good enough for a 1st place tie with Dalhousie. Against StFX, 1st year LS, Shelby Michaels lead the Huskies with 16 kills and 9 digs. On Sunday, 5th year LS Kerri Smit was on top with 18 kills and 11 digs. SMU's next game is November 18th when they travel to UNB.

2009-10 AUS Women's Volleyball All-Stars Announced Feb 17 SMU's Smit and Beaver Named First Team All-Stars - Atlantic University Sport is pleased to announce the 2009-10 women's volleyball all-star teams as selected by the conference's head coaches following regular season play. The Saint Mary's Huskies, UNB Varsity Reds and Cape Breton Capers each had two players named to the first team to account for six of the seven spots, with Catherine Thornton of the first place StFX X-Women rounding out the squad.
