Huskies add Jon Greenwood to Men's Hockey Coaching Staff

The SMU Huskies are excited to announce the addition of Cole Harbour native Jon Greenwood to the Men's Varsity Hockey Team coaching staff. Greenwood will join Head Coach Tyler Naugler on the Huskies bench and will be the team's new defense coach. 

"Jon is a great addition to our staff and hockey program. In a team setting, people are your greatest asset and surrounding yourself with the right ones is a key element to a team's success. Jon's coaching experience, hockey knowledge, and professionalism are the keys Jon brings to Huskies Hockey that will aid in our teams pursuit of a championship this season." says Naugler.  

Greenwood brings with him a wealth of experience behind the bench, spending the last seven seasons with the Halifax Mooseheads as an assistant coach. Jon was the head coach for Team Nova Scotia's Men's Hockey Team at the most recent Canada Winter Games in 2019, and was named the 2013-2014 coach of the year in the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League while serving as the head coach for the Cole Harbour Wolf Pack.
