Dunlop finishes fourth on final day of U SPORTS Track & Field Nationals
WINDSOR, ON - The Saint Mary's Huskies continued their strong performances on the third and final day of the U SPORTS Track & Field Championship, highlighted by thrower Mason Dunlop finishing fourth in the country in men's shot put, and the men's 4x200 metre relay team finishing eighth.
Overall the Huskies men finished 20th in the overall standings with eight points, ahead of several larger schools that had more athletes competing at the meet.
Mason Dunlop – Shot Put
A third-year commerce major from Middle Musquodoboit, N.S., Mason Dunlop competed in the men's shot put, finishing fourth in the country. Dunlop's throw of 15.95 metres tied his personal best and school record that he set at this year's AUS Championships, where he won gold.

Huskies 4x200 metre relay team
The Huskies men's 4x200 metre team of Chad Smith, Chandler Zinck-Marier, Innis MacMullin and Andy MacMullin, finished eighth in the country with a time of 1:30.32 in Saturday's final.

The Huskies qualified for the final after finishing eighth in Thursday night's qualifying heat with a time of 1:30.33. This group won gold at the AUS Championships, breaking a school and AUS record with a time of 1:29.77.
Ciaran MacDonald – Triple Jump
A first-year sociology major from Margaree Valley, N.S., Ciaran MacDonald represented the Huskies in men's triple jump, finishing 12th with a jump of 12.61m.
MacDonald won the men's triple jump at the AUS Championship, beating the second-place finisher by one centimeter in a jump of 12.80m on his final attempt.
