Huskies announce commitment of Ashlee Adams for 2025-26 season

Saint Mary's track & field / cross country head coach Kevin Heisler is pleased to announce the commitment of runner Ashlee Adams to the Huskies line-up for the 2025-26 season.

A 5'1" middle and long distance runner from Happy Valley-Goosebay, NL, Adams competes for Mealy Mountain Collegiate and Trappers Running Club.

Adams will compete in both cross country and middle distance track & field events for the Huskies. Her personal best times are 12:54 in the 3000m, 5:34.21 in the 1500m and 2:38.17 in the 800m.

Adams was named Mealy Mountain Collegiate Female Athlete of the Year in 2022, Most Sportsmanlike Athlete in 2023 & 2024, and Cross Country MVP in 2022, 2023 & 2024. She has also represented her home province of Newfoundland & Labrador at the Canada Games, North American Indigenous Games, and Provincial Legion Meets.

Adams will be pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Saint Mary's.
