Huskies women’s soccer announce commitment of forward Addison Sun
Saint Mary's Huskies women's soccer head coach Marisa Colzie is pleased to announce the commitment of forward Addison Sun for the 2026 season.
A 5'11" striker from Kamloops, British Columbia, Sun joins the Huskies out of Sa-Hali Secondary School and Kamloops United FC.
"I feel incredibly honoured that I soon get to represent Saint Mary's as an athlete and a student," says Sun. "Saint Mary's is a place where I feel I will grow immensely, not only as a player, but also as a person. Coach Marisa has been so supportive during my recruitment and I can't wait to compete with the Huskies at the U SPORTS level! Go Huskies!"
Sun is currently playing for Kamloops United FC, a League1 BC pro-amateur club, where she is one of the younger players in the league.
Sun previously played with the Thompson Okanagan Football Club (TOFC), where she was one of the top scorers in the BCSPL, the highest level of youth soccer in British Columbia.
In 2022, Sun also was selected for the Vancouver Whitecaps Pre-Elite REX team, the only player selected from outside the Greater Vancouver area, and has also played for travel teams in Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon and California.
An honour roll and Principal's List student, Sun will be studying a Bachelor of Science at Saint Mary's, with hopes to major in Biology.
The Huskies will kick-off the 2026 season on home field as they host the UNB REDS on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. at Huskies Stadium.
