Huskies women’s soccer announce commitment of defender Avery Dodd

Saint Mary's Huskies women's soccer head coach Marisa Colzie is pleased to announce the commitment of defender Avery Dodd for the 2026 season.

A 5'7" centreback from North Vancouver, BC, Dodd joins the Huskies out of Argyle Secondary School and Coquitlam Metro Ford (BCSPL).

"I am very excited to be coming to Saint Mary's!" says Avery. "I am excited to see and live on the other coast, and travel Atlantic Canada with the Huskies soccer team!"

Dodd helped her Coquitlam Metro Ford club team to three straight provincial championships in 2022, 2023 & 2024, as well as a Bronze medal at the 2023 Canada Soccer U15 Nationals Cup. Dodd also helped lead her club side to a gold medal at the prestigous Gothia Cup in Sweden.

With her Argyle Secondary team, Dodd is a two-time defensive player of the year, and helped the team to a third place finish at the 2025 BCSS AAA Provincial Championships.

An honour roll student, Dodd will be studying a Bachelor of Arts at Saint Mary's.

The Huskies will kick-off the 2026 season on home field as they host the UNB REDS on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. at Huskies Stadium.
