Huskies Volleyball announce 2025-26 recruiting class
Saint Mary's women's volleyball head coach Darren Russell is pleased to announce the commitment of five new recruits to the Huskies line-up for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
Jordin Parsons
A 5'11" middle blocker from Hebbville, Nova Scotia, Jordin Parsons joins the Huskies out of Parkview Education Centre and Bridgewater Chill Volleyball Club.
Parsons was named most valuable player at the Dalhousie Tigers 2024 tournament, and the 2024 Panther Cup, and was Parkview's volleyball rookie of the year in 2022.
Parsons has also represented her home province of Nova Scotia in volleyball, including at the 2023 Canada Cup.
A proudly Indigenous multi-sport athlete, Parsons competed in track & field at the 2023 North American Indigenous Games, where she won three silver medals (Shot Put, Discus and Javelin) and a bronze medal (High Jump). She also stars for the Parkview Education Centre varsity basketball team.
Parsons will be studying a Bachelor of Commerce at Saint Mary's.
Madison Richard
A 5'11" left side from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Madison Richard joins the Huskies out of Miles Macdonnell Collegiate, where she was named a Manitoba AAAA Provincial All-Star and helped lead her team to the Provincial Championships.
Richard also plays for Shock Volleyball Club, and has represented her home province of Manitoba on several occasions, including at the 2024 Canada Cup.
A proud member of Shuswap First Nation, Richard was named Manitoba's Indigenous Athlete of the Month for November 2024, and was a vital part of the U16 Manitoba Volleyball Team that finished second at the 2023 North American Indigenous Games, held in Halifax and on Saint Mary's campus.
Richard is devoted to giving back to her community, including coaching youth volleyball and baseball, and working as a lifeguard instructor.
"I'm very excited to join the Huskies! I am grateful to be continuing my academic and athletic career at Saint Mary's University, which wouldn't be possible without the endless support from my coaches, teammates and family," says Richard. "I am looking forward to joining this team of highly competitive and determined women led by Coach Darren and his staff. Go Huskies!"
Richard will be studying a Bachelor of Environmental Studies at Saint Mary's.
Tevary Robson
A 5'6" libero from Calgary, Alberta, Tevary Robson joins the Huskies out of Springbank Community High School, where she was named an Alberta Provincial All-Star and helped the team qualify for provincials.
Robson also competes in club volleyball with Dinos Club, and is an accomplished beach volleyball player, representing her home province of Alberta at the 2024 Volleyball Canada U18 Beach Nationals, and 2023 Canada Games.
A multi-sport athlete, Robson also plays golf for the Edge School Golf Academy, and played high-level hockey for nine years.
"I am excited to attend Saint Mary's and pursue my goal of playing at the U SPORTS level," says Robson. "I am extremely thankful to the Huskies coaches and players for being so welcoming and can't wait to get started in the fall!"
Robson will be studying a Bachelor of Commerce at Saint Mary's.
Millie Wilkinson
A 6'1" middle blocker from Deloraine, Manitoba, Millie Wilkinson joins the Huskies out of Deloraine High School, where she was the team Most Valuable Player and a Manitoba Provincial All-Star.
Wilkinson has represented her home province of Manitoba on several occasions, including at the 2024 & 2023 Canada Cup.
"I am so excited to further my education at such an honourable athletic institution," says Wilkinson. "Saint Mary's is a great campus inside a beautiful city, surrounded by lovely people. I am thrilled for the opportunity to play for the Huskies!"
Wilkinson will be studying a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology, at Saint Mary's.
Julia Williams
A 6'0" setter from Quispamsis, New Brunswick, Julia Williams joins the Huskies out of Rothesay High School and Timberwolves Volleyball Club.
Williams played three seasons of varsity volleyball at Kennebecasis Valley High School prior to transferring to Rothesay High for her senior year. During her grade 11 season at KVHS, she was named Most Valuable Player and team captain.
Williams has competed with Timberwolves Volleyball Club since age 12, and helped lead the 18U team to a silver medal in 2023, and was named a New Brunswick Provincial All-Star.
Williams has represented her home province of New Brunswick on several occasions, including at the 2024 Canada Cup, and spent the past two summers training with the New Brunswick Provincial Excellence Program
"After visiting Saint Mary's campus and meeting with Coach Russell, I knew right away I wanted to be a Husky!" says Williams. "I am so excited to join the Huskies family, and especially look forward to learning from the senior players and growing my own game. Go Huskies!"
Williams will be studying a Bachelor of Commerce at Saint Mary's.
