Huskies open season with 5-0 win over Mounties
HALIFAX, NS – Five different Huskies scored, as Saint Mary's defeated the Mount Allison Mounties 5-0 in their Atlantic University Sport women's hockey season-opener at the Dauphinee Centre in Halifax, N.S.
The first period saw the Huskies outshoot the Mounties 11-3, but Mounties goaltender Silia Gregg (Windsor, ON) was excellent, turning away 11 shots she faced, including a big glove save on Huskies forward Jillian Duggan (Halifax, NS), and the two teams went into first intermission deadlocked at 0-0.
